- Stop blood-thinning medications as directed
- Fast as instructed before anaesthesia
- Arrange transportation home
- Arrange post-op help for 24–48 hours
- Fill prescriptions in advance
- Complete pre-op tests if ordered

- Follow wound care instructions carefully
- Attend all follow-up appointments
- Complete prescribed physical therapy
- Call immediately for fever, swelling, or unusual pain
